Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

This is by far one of my favorite recipes. It is simple and delicious although I have been perfecting the recipe for the past few weeks. Play around with the spices to suit your needs.  For me, subtle is better, but you may prefer a bit more spice to compliment the pumpkin.

2/3 cup of canned pure pumpkin

2 tsp of cinnamon

1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

1 tsp of honey

1 tsp of pure maple syrup

1 cup of almond or coconut milk

Splash of Heavy Cream

1 cup of ice

1 frozen banana or 1/2 frozen 1/2 fresh banana

Toss all of the ingredients together in a blender. Blend until smooth but not until liquid.  The thicker the concoction the better it will be. Enjoy!

Banana Ice Cream

This is easily one of my favorite recipes to make simply because it is so easy and so delicious. The larger a batch of Banana Ice Cream you can make, the easier the recipe is.  Here is a great recipe though for a single person to enjoy.

1 Banana peeled and frozen

2 tsp Almond or Peanut Butter

2 tsp of unsweetened Coconut or Almond Milk

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 tsp local, raw honey or real maple syrup

As many chopped up fruits, nuts or other toppings

Combine all of the ingredients into a food processor, Vitamix, or Ninja blender with the exception of the fruit, nut or other toppings. Blend or process on high until creamy and smooth. Place in the freezer if slightly liquid; otherwise enjoy immediately!
